Steps to set up Vanish?Solved

I threw this command "vanish.use" into my server.CFG but it doesnt seem to work? Im afraid of doing this while my server is nearly full. Thus I felt the need to ask for specifics here rather than figuring it out with trial and error. 

How exactly do I set this up and only for admin use? Thanks

its not a server.cfg command its a permission. Please read https://umod.org/documentation/plugins/permissions on how to manage permissions. Once you have applied the permission to the chosen user they can use the /vanish command in game.

I see, but I figured when it came to permissions admins were automatically added? In this case I believe its just "default" as the group.
The dilema, is when it comes to permissions. The only way Ive done this, is through the server.cfg... But now your telling me this isnt the case? Regardless of checking the documentation, im still a bit confused...

Granting permissions are done via commands, and do not need to be done each startup. Admin are not automatically given permission in most plugins.

Thank you! The reason i request to have my hand held liek this. Is because when i was trying some steps to grab oxide. groups, and add permisions etc. My server crashed with a bunch of people in it... SO thus, I was very leary on doing this again without know the proper commands. Thanks again @wulf

Hm... For some reaosn it still isnt working @Wulf? I added the admin permissions and I even saw the proper response within the console. Reloaded the plugin, even restarted server... But no effects still when typeing    /vanish  in console?

/vanish is a chat command, not console command. We'd need to know what "no effects" means too.

oxide.grant group admin vanish.allow

type /vanish in chat or just vanish in console. Also you can only do this in game not through rcon.

Thanks guys. Ya at my previus post, I edited it saying that I realize I needed to type it in chat, NOT console. Thanks agiain guys! I REALLY appreciate everyones consistant help!

vanish would work in F1 console, /vanish in chat
Locked automatically
