Performance issues and lag

Running latest version of oxide and vanish as of this post

have encouter the same issue when getting over 80 players in server and the npc i think was the horse because all players complained same time about riding horse was extreme laggy untill i unload vanish

It only started when we installed the trains.cs mode plugin

i have the same problem..
The mod currently shows it as unmaintained and unclaimed, as well as being last updated 5 months ago. We recently started having stutter issues on our server and our host and been working with us to troubleshoot it and says that Vanish is using a lot of resources and when we unload the plugin, everything seems to run smoothly. For us, this is one of the most valuable plugins available and am hoping to see someone pick it back up and maintain it. We would also be more than happy to donate to keep this plugin going. If anyone else can share some insight on why we may be having issues with this now, or if you are as well, I would love to hear back from you!
I would like to join this request. Vanish is one of the most valued plugins (even for community servers) that is allowed by Facepunch. It would be very sad if it gets dumpstered because the maker stopped working on it.
Following. Seems on my server when someone is using vanish it cuts our framerate in half
The only way you can avoid the performance hit, would be to use the "Performance Mode" found in the configuration. This is a resource intensive plugin, so it will never be not causing a drop in performance when active.
We just never had issue like this so bad with it. and in console we get spammed messages: "Calling 'CanNetworkTo' on 'Vanish v0.7.7' took average 1507ms" and "Calling 'onNpcTarget' on 'Vanish v0.7.7' took average 2526ms"
If the plugin hasn't changed, it's logical to assume that something with the server setup did. This could be affected by other plugins, population of players, number of entities, etc.
I know that in the past when rust has updated it has messed with vanish, we didnt have this issue before the update

I assumed it would fix the "Kicked for flyhack violation" we would get once in awhile while noclipping and using Vanish. So far, our server is performing well since making those changes. Even still, it would be amazing to see this plugin picked back up and maintained by someone and I am sure a good portion of us running servers would be more than happy to help support whomever takes on the task. This is easily my most valued plugin for running a server. No more terrible spectate view or following under the terrain.

Hey Kikaider, it looks like you got your wish. I will be the new plugin maintainer. I dont have an ETA as to when a new update will come out. But I plan on doing a full re-work of the plugin and I should be able to get started pretty soon.
