I have noticed that if you go into settings>user interface, and toggle Mute Global Chat on and off, the missing messages show up. But it doesnt stop the error from happening. Gotta be related to FP's change to the mute system.

Btw. I know it is kinda a first thing you should do :D But did anybody check if problem exists if oxide is not installed at all?
We should check 2 things before we start shooting out ideas:
1) does the problem persist without oxide
2) does the problem persist with oxide but 0 mods installed

Chat is not handled without plugins, so Oxide alone should not cause it. It still appears to be a client issue.

In the last few days, it comes to my attention that better chat is swallowing text messages from other players. They do come on the logs, console, and such, but not ingame as if it vanished in thin air.
Would there be any solution to this? Thank you in advance!

I've also had a few players mention to me they sometimes don't see messages they have sent.
This seems to be a problem with rust chat at the moment, since I have experienced this myself with vanilla chat.
If writing something in the global chat sometimes it doesnt appear there.
Others can read it though.
Also writings of others cannot be seen sometimes.

This is all is new since this update.
Is it Better Chat that causes that?

Some have this issue but its not sure if its related to oxide, a plugin or rust itself
It seems like people can only type new messages and not read existing ones xD

they released about 10 client and server updates in the past week, where did u find the changenotes?
