I'm confused, could someone clarify something for me?

When FacePunch said they were going to discontinue Linux support, they also said that "this only applies to gaming on linux. Hosting on linux will be unaffected" or something similar.

= So why do we how have windows / linux builds separated ?

I believe it was done to fix some issues. A graphicless server is easier to manage than a client too.

just noticed the development url seems to still be pulling the previous version of umod, since the codebase split, is it acceptable to have two versions out or is this a bug?

The build numbers are different, but it is correct.

It is important for my Clients to be able to use a button on my CP to update their servers, and I need to know if i should change the link I have set in my update scripts.

So every time my server daily restarts it's disabled umod and makes me reinstall it. We have basically lost all our
players due to UMod this time.

That has nothing to do with Oxide/uMod, something with your setup is updating Rust and causing the mod to be uninstalled. If you aren't familiar with how your server is set up or works, I'd suggest contacting your host.

No, it is temporary until our new package system is in place for uMod.

You can use the AppVeyor API, but the whole setup for the Linux build is temporary.
pterodactyl tells you to get lost every time you asked a question on their discord. so contacting them is not a good idea. We are switching over to windows. I know it's not your fault.

Because currently i have to download the latest release and then apply the "Linux Fix" myself or the server won't launch.

Do i have to add to my update script that it should apply the Linux fix everytime i update Umod/oxide or will this be fixed in the next few updates so the fix is not needed anymore?

You are using an older link and "fix." It was "fixed" a week ago with a standalone build and link. See the Games > Rust page for the correct link.

Since you are using LGSM, make sure you are updated with it as where it downloads matters since the recent Rust updates.

Hi,

So I just wiped the server and with that I updated both rust and oxide, but the server wont start with ./rustserver start afther the update.

I then dowloaded from here the latest version and put in on the right folder but still nothing. I tryed to remove oxide and the server started as it should.
I use linux, and for the oxide update I used the ./rustserver mu and then changed the file myself

Anyone can help?
