Server not starting when Oxide is installedFixed
Nark0t1k

Can't make it work ...

I try to update LinuxGSM with:
./rustserver update-lgsm

Then try to install/update mod with:
./rustserver mods-install
&&
./rustserver mods-update

But twice give me:
curl: (3) Illegal characters found in URL
downloading Oxide.Rust.zip...OK

Also i try to use

5c2d88ae4ea06.jpg Wulf
Temporary link for now: https://github.com/theumod/uMod.Rust/releases/download/2.0.4268/Oxide.Rust-LinuxFix.zip

By replacing:
- Assembly-CSharp.dll
- Oxide.Rust.dll
in : RustServer\RustDedicated_Data\Managed

But get the same issue

I'm using Debian 9

Same problem with debian, Curl: (3) Illegal characters found in URL

stop using 3rd party tools to do simple things for you, obviously the problem is with that and not oxide.

If someone needs help fixing this with LinuxGSM, add me on discord: VNE#6735

Still running without an oxide installed .

Any official fixes coming up other than temporary fix?

There are details on the Games > Rust page about this.

I've just updated my server, steam and oxide, its seems to be crashing at the same point as last time
easy anti cheat shutting down.

is it just me?

Sounds like you installed the Windows build on a Linux server. See https://umod.org/games/rust
ah er oh, i just (lazy) used LGSM ./rustserver update & /rustserver mods-update

I'll ftp over the update and try myself :)

Sounds like you installed the Windows build on a Linux server, not the Linux build. See https://umod.org/games/rust

It worked now. I used your dev linux build, but iam using a docker image and that have an autoupdater for oxide. I changed the update on boot to false but that was not enough i guess. But now it works with a workaround. Is this build an exception with linux and windows seperate? Because then the docker image has to be fixed for the future.
yep used your link and it works great LGSM got something wrong i guess

I believe LGSM is using a curl method that is assuming every URL ends with a file, which they do not. In this case, our develop URL redirects to a URL that CONTAINS a filename, but doesn't END with a filename as it has arguments in the URL. The solution would be for LGSM to always set a filename when using curl to grab the file, instead of using whatever the URL may or may not contain as the filename.
