Hey yall,  a friend and myself operate a few rust servers.  Since the update on 11/11 I haven't been able to use the Vanish or PermissionsManager plugin correctly.   When doing /vanish in chat, it states that I don't have the required permissions to use the mod, but I am the owner of the server and I have granted permissions with the o.grant user Cleaver * command in rustadmin.  I don't know what in the heck is going on.  Even when I uninstall/reinstall the mod,  it will instantly turn me invisible upon reinstalling, but I still can't toggle it on or off.  I've tried to find a solution but I'm lost and have no fricken clue.   Friend's server runs just fine and is able to use the commands....

vanish.indefinite -- Forces the vanished player to always remain vanished.

The problem with being lazy and doing o.grant user Cleaver * is that it gives you ALL permissions for every plugin you have installed, even permissions you don't want or need. Try and look at the plugins page and ONLY giving yourself the required permissions.

Hey wolf, thanks for the reply.  So my friend and I fixed the issue... and the issue that I had was I was using the updated version of the vanish mod that was updated 3 months ago.  I was using the v07.7 version while he was using the v07.4 version.  Once I deleted my version and installed the older version, it worked.  So I don't know if the new version has issues with the update that we just had, but it wasn't working for me and now the old one does.   I think its the v07.7 version that is messed up.  Might need to be tested more throughly incase this keeps happening

How exactly did you grant the permissions for commands? We can't really support old versions, so you'd need to be using the latest version.

I am running the latest version with no issues?

The only permissions I have assigned to me are :

vanish.use, vanish.damage.buildings, vanish.damage.animals, vanish.damage.players, vanish.abilities.teleport

I am having the same issue all I get is permission doesnt exsist I am using v07.7 I am running my server on scalacube.com
