@Joe90 I don't quite know how to say this, but I don't think you should abandon SyncPipes just yet, unless you have plans to work on the new pipes system to make it better. Lots of complaints about "can you speed these up?" and "it doesn't work with quarries." My advice to players has been to ignore the FacePunch pipes for now and stick with SyncPipes. I know that eventually FP pipes will catch up with plugins (maybe), but for now at least SyncPipes is very much needed, please don't abandon it. πŸ™‚

I'm looking into what is possible with the new industrial update. The previous updates to the storage systems seemed to have a problem with one of the core systems in syncPipes causing lag issues. I was trying to develop a new version when the industrial update hit staging so was waiting to see what came out of it.
Not quite sure what's the best path to take atm.

One of the biggest limitations to the new industrial pipes that i loved about syncpipes was the ability to go thru walls. none of this "thru doors or windows" malarky. i wonder if its possible to add the thru walls functionality and of course connect to quarry/pumpjack/recycler to the new pipes... or reskin syncpipes with the new pipes skin??? just a thought

Only apply new pipe design to sync pipes and it is perfect i would say :)

Hmmm. I started a thing it seems. Personally I would love an updated version that merges the best of both worlds, but I also get that to merge sync-pipes and the new system may just be a royal pain in the you-know-what to do, and not a quick rework of the existing plugin. I suspect it may be a near total overhaul needed, and I have no expectations that it will be high on a priority list to do so.

But if you do, I'll be quite happy :)

well what sets JPIPE/SyncPipes to the top of my plugins fav is that AUTOSTART FEATURE, connect to quarries, bbq, recycler. if that can be added to the new industrial craft as a plugin "Industrial SyncPipes Addons" that would be great. "WE WANT AUTOMATION!"Β

I think you need to have a verified Discord account, and join the Discord first (with all the little loops to jump through), then try the link again.

I believe you need to set the games you're interested in, in the #welcome channel by setting a reaction (it's the Rust icon with 2599 members in the image below. It should be instant, or was for me when I tested by adding and removing "Human Fall Flat" - I'm not totally sure this is all it takes as it's been so long ago that I went through this process. But when completed, then the Rust section should be visible.
