Just started getting this error for Steam Checks, have not changed anything in it.
It's been on server running for months.

Error in console: 

[Steam Checks] Unknown error occurred while connecting to the Steam API. Error code: 429.

That means you've made too many requests to Steam, they rate limited the IP.
