Cant use console command and don't have permission to use oxide.grant?Solved

Ok.. I will definitely try that now..

If none of the oxide. prefixed commands work, Oxide is not installed. Make sure you aren't uninstalling Oxide each server start by running SteamCMD with validation each start, which would replace modified files. I'd suggest installing it again and verifying again.

If you are properly set as owner/moderator and are able to use F1 functionality, then you'd be able to use oxide. commands (when Oxide is installed).

Ok so oxide is installed yet i still get the same thing.. i do get info when i do o.virsion [> o.version
Oxide.Rust Version: 2.0.5708] but still not able to use admin commands threw f1 and still get the  "you dont have permision to use oxide.grant" when trying to do oxide.grant group admin *

Can you run those commands in RCON?

i have tried to use rcon but when i try to link it all to my accoun t on the web page it tels me "Server verification failed. The connection could not be established with your server, timeout. You are either using a wrong IP or port (please make sure that you are well using the RCON port given by your provider), or your server is not running." but the ip addres for the server i got right off the list of my servers on steam and the server is running and im able to connect to it so i cant use rcon right now..

I feel like my port forword is wrong but i have followed all the youtube video i can find on it..

If it's a locally hosted server you don't need to use an external RCON. Just use the RCON on the PC you're hosting the server from. The RCON is just the "command prompt" window when you run your server. You can type in all the commands there.

However if you would like to use an external RCON program and you're using it on the same PC as the server, you just need to enter the localhost IP which would be "127 0 0 1".
If you want to use an external RCON program on a different PC that's still on your home network, you need to use the local IP of your PC "192 168 * *"

I got Rcon to connect 1 time but i dont think it was doing right because it didnt even recognize i logged into the server. but i can not get it to connect again.

It turned out the all the youtube tutorials that sent me to steamid i/o website for my stream id was giving me the incorect steamid. Once I figured that out and got it right from steam itself and used that everything worked correctly.
