My server players Kicked: EAC: Heartbeat timed out

No idea. Just happened to me aswell and I googled the message and only thing that showed up was your post here. Seems like the server got some performance issues since another player got kicked at almost the same time with a different message.

I have a player that has the same issue on our server and apparently only on ours. Nobody else has complained but this guy gets severe lag yet his ping is like 30ms and the rest of the server pop is fine. When looking at logs I see he gets:

[EAC] Kicking ************  (Heartbeat timed out)

Since las patch I've seen a lot of EAC timeouts, disconnects, and other log entries. Related maybe?

The guy has reinstalled, veriefied files and all the rest. Still it randomly happens to him. Sometimes relogging fixes the issue temporary for him. Not sure what is going on.

I constantly get EAC timeouts when connecting to my own server, only since the EAC update. usual crap it'll be sorted in a few months or so. remember the beach water flickering? that only took like 10 months to sort out.

Same here, either get the Eac timeout or the unauthorised session message, only happened since the last wipe, low pings and reasonable fps (100+)  ,

A lot of players reported me this month invalid auth sessions and client shutdowns without any message. And they told me not only on my server. For myself i have a shutdown most after first join and after rejoin no problem. Since latest update.

I was able to fix the game closing/shutdown with no message issue by deleting and reinstalling the game.

The problem that I got randomly kicked with a message like mentioned above happened to me once while a friend of mine got kicked with a different message right around the same time.

Thank you. Done this and the players with that problem too. Complete troubleshooting. Nothing works. I think tehere´s a problem with latest rust client updates.

We've also been seeing something similar over the last 3 days. It also seems to happen around the same time each day. 
A handful of players report serious lag and eventually get kicked by EAC.

this is really strange because i have 1gbps internet, ryzen 7 4.2ghz , ssd and 32 gb ram and it doesn't seem to be the machine but some bug maybe plugins or event this server file build

Since the penultimate wipe (the one before last one) players have been having a lot of difficulty joining the server (game crashes during "warming prefabs" when loading game after choosing server, all game files have been verified (client side) and all files have been verified (server side) , since this last wipe there are too many instances of "EAC Unauthorised or timed out" disconnections,  Something FP have done to "help" us has not helped us at all,

Do anyone have any news or update on how to solve this?

Using pinehosting happening to us and the server will randomly lag even when there is no lag. Either isp realted or rust server related.

This just happened to me about 20 minutes ago. I'm also with Pine Hosting on VA-05. Pine Hosting has not reported any issue in their Discord. I was able to find this article that seems to indicate it's one client on the server causing the EAC Heartbeat timeout resulting in players being kicked.

I'm aware the above link is for EpicGames however it's still relevant to the EAC Heartbeat timeout. This does in fact seem to be an EAC issue. Based on this article I'm attempting to narrow down the players causing this based on SteamID by checking my console and logs. I plan to temporarily restrict server access to players that were online during this issue and one by one over time allow them to re-join. By this methodology I might be able to isolate the player(s) causing the EAC Heartbeat timeout and correctly advise them of any troubleshooting steps they could take to resolve the issue. From what I can tell this is caused by a players client not communicating with EAC correctly. I would consider this issue of great severity since there is little to no information among the community regarding this or even anyone from Facepunch or EAC. It has caused my players grief, and extensive server downtime. Because of this issue my server won't even respond to kill or restart commands. The console will not even connect. Pine hosting control panel has not been responding for 1 hour at the time of writing this post.

I have almost 100 plugins on my server and this has never been a problem in the past. I can assure you your plugins are not the issue.
