Can't seem to open any portsSolved

Well do you have any recommendations on where to look? Cause before the ports showed Timed Out and now they show Connection Refused (canyouseeme.org) which leads me to the conclusion that the ports are open but there still isn't info on them.

youve shown the server is running and working by connecting to it locally. meaning the server is running just fine and the ports are open locally. the problem is either your modem and or router. or a combination or both working together.

OK Thanks I will se what I can do.

So I've tried everything again, and it still doesn't work. If you'd like, I can send ALL parameters I changed and you could maybe tell me if I am missing something?

So something really weird happend, I tried hosting the server on my main PC and suddenlly port 28016 and port for Rust+ started working, but I still cannot connect using 28015?

Sounds like the one port is forwarded to one and the other to the other.

You mean like port 28015 connected with 28016, or that 28015 is forwarded from one router to the other which is then forwarded to my PC.

Which is what I have done, double router forwarding, forwarding the outer router to the modem and the modem to the laptop.

By outer router I meant the outer PART of the modem of like the connection they still are one box.

If you'd like, I can send screenshots of the whole system I did and forwarded.

Is this important?

I had this issue and searched for days for a fix and couldn't find one although I found the issue, I did everything correctly except for one thing and that was in my port forward map I was using the wrong interface type. I was using an Ethernet interface instead of WLAN.
Try changing your interface type. In your router settings look for your connected devices and find your laptop or PC that you are using to port forward and see what interface type you are using for your connection to your router.

Also make your Laptop/PC's internal IP Static.

Hope this helps at all.

I am not sure which one you are talking about specifically, only thing I found that can I can somehow connect to your respose is this:

And this is what my port forwarding itself looks like:

Also should UPnP be on? I read that it just opens basically everything and it's a security risk so big no-no?

Or how would you go on about setting that up in your router, I am not very skilled in the world of hosting servers and stuff, so if you could basically guide me all the way I'd really appreciate that, if you can just tell me what to screenshot if you need to, and I will.

what are you using to connect your PC to your router? are you using the wifi or a Ethernet cable?
and yes that is a no no

Well my PC is connected using Ethernet and the laptop is using Wi-Fi (the hosting machine).

Also when I hosted it on my PC the 28016 port opened and the 28082 and on my laptop only 28082 opens.

since your laptop is hosting on wifi then you wouldn't use LAN as your interface you need to use WLAN is there any options for WLAN or WAN

what is your routers brand and model?

Well not in the port forwarding itself, maybe elsewhere? I don't know where to look though.

i sent you a DM

Yeah, if anyone has any idea, go on, me and Uned are trying to figure it out on Discord with yet no success.

Hosting via wifi is a really bad idea. If you can't connect both laptop and pc via ethernet, then try switching them around so you have host on ethernet and pc on wifi.

I tried over ethernet and it's the same, I tried hosting it on my main PC with ethernet, same result. It's all ports open, but there isn't going traffic through 28015.
