Planner Object? anyone know what it is?

I'm having issues with other plugins. I have items excessively spawning somehow causing a RAM leak. I used ObjectRemover to track it down and try to fix it. I removed the other leaked items, but I can't remove planners. I didn't even know what they are, but nivex (the plugin dev) told me:

"planners are entities that are held by players. some belong to players, some belong to the server, and anything else would either be destroyed by the server or remain orphaned until the map wipes. the orphaned items would cause your memory issue, and that memory issue would persist after a server restart. destroying the leak would free the memory up. which would require at least 1 restart."

So i'm wondering if any of you guys have had this issue and were able to get rid of all these orphaned planners? They're all collecting at the world origin under the map. for some reason, i can use the 'teleportany planner' command repeatedly and it will always bring me to the world origin with 20,000 planners bugged. If I try to search for them and delete them by radius with object remover, they're not even found. If I don't search by radius, though, it will find 20,500 planners. Restarts don't remove them and I don't wanna delete all planners outside TC radius if that will break the server, but I'm not sure how else to get rid of them.

Any info or help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. This stuff is just so hard to find info about on google

Hey.
This description about planners isn't the most accurate one, but the idea of it is right. You would need to find the plugin that is causing the leak, using tools or having a plugin developer find it for you.

Any suggestion on kind of tools we can use to find leaks?

I'd like to know as well. Right now the only things I'm using are PerformanceMonitor and ObjectRemover to try to test the leaks. I can find an remove the items, but I still can't find where they're coming from even after testing every plugin. Could a map or seed cause an item/memory leak? seems like it could be related to the underground tunnels

i found this thread from years ago with my same issue, but it hasn't led me to a fix or cause yet. I've been stressing for days over this uMod - High entity count that grows when players aren't even on - Rust - Community

I backed up my server and got rid of all the planners safely, but it doesnt stop them. the planners and other objects keep leaking.

NGL this happenes all the time, we go from serverside fps 180 to 74 quickly wiht only 3 people online for a few hours, its alwys some stupid item that causes, wish orange would post what the plugin is

actually talked to him in discord and we discuss a lot about it and I really learned very little. Seems like most people hardly know about this or keep it a secret. Everyone talks cryptically about it and I get lot's of misleading info. after wasting enough of his time discussing it hypothetically, Orange offered me to pay $50 and take the time to have him look at my plugins and fix it because removing broken entities manually or with the plugin causes others issues and doesn't really work. I got the plugin from orange btw that's supposed to automatically remove the broken entities, it doesnt really work all that well and caused lots of other issues when removing the entities, but here's the thing. I made a brand new server, installed oxide and ONLY this plugin (ObjectRemover), and still these same entities leaked. That means it IS NOT a plugin, and there's threads about this issue over 5 years old now. I tested a vanilla map to make sure it's not RustMaps and it's not. Seems like it's a native Rust leak, unless it's somehow tied to my Server Host or something somehow, but thats less likely. Good thing I didn't waste his time trying to fix it though if it's not even from a plugin.

(edits to add info)

AFAIK, planner are building plan (prefabid: 1435750071)
a lot of them seem to spawn with junk piles on the side of the road

here a small trace of entities spawning before and after planner
this is without plugin except this test that monitor OnEntitySpawned(BaseNetworkable entity) and no players

its not building plans and its a lot more than that. the game leaks hundreds of thousands of broken entities over a week on a vanilla server with only oxide installed and ObjectRemover to count the leaks.

these items below existed after just a few days on a server with no players and no plugins but this one. Ive seen threads about this issue more than 5 years old

The original question was about planner object. A lot of them are created by FP because they show without any plugin.
I dont know if there is a purpose for these spawned planner by FP and if they can be deleted.

Leaks of held entities and items is another story and mostly caused by plugin.
I know BetterLoot before version 3.5.6 would leak a lot of items. specially if you use the blacklist function.

there's more items than that and removing them breaks a lot of stuff, especially removing planners. Its not a valid fix. Paying for more RAM is though which makes this all seem a little sus considering how much of a runaround everyone has given me. Time and time again GameServerKings gaslit me and blamed my plugins so I bought a whole new vanilla server from them, showed them it still happened, and asked for a refund on the new server. I'm currently looking at new host options because I have to pay more and more just to have enough RAM so my server doesnt get automatically restarted 3 times a day with no warning, 1 week into wipe, with 2 players on the server because of RAM spikes. I don't like how they repeatedly blamed me and my plugins, but pretend they dont know or actually dont know it happens on all servers, or at least all theirs. I haven't tested enough yet to know which is true.

but then I track down orange and his plugin which supposedly fixes it, and he admits it doesn't really and that it's a poor band-aid solution (honestly an infected band-aid really cuz the bugs it causes) and he said it IS a plugin causing these issues (which i disproved) and that I can pay him $50 to find and fix it, but I tried that myself cuz I'm not stupid and can do some basic tests on my own even though he said I NEED a plugin dev, but I've found it happens regardless which plugins are installed.

so either everyone gaslights about it and talks out their ass and has no idea what they're talking about, or there's something bigger going on cuz everyone treats me so weird for trying to figure it out

with all due respect lorenzo u sound just like them rn repeating provenly false things

NP Singularity12.
How do you use ObjectRemover to count the leaks ?   Object at (0,0,0) are not all leaks. most of them are object held by players or NPC

by running the command objtop dozens of times for days and weeks across multiple servers

I have the same problem with the same people. I got the max RAM from GamerserverKings (which is stupid how it's tied to player amount) and I'm still having random restarts/crashes and blaming me for it.

Are no servers good? Damn. Do I really have to buy and build my own server, it's fucking crazy.

yeah its basically false advertising since I have to pay for a much larger playercount server just to have 10 people on it. If theyre gonna sell it by RAM amounts, they should do that instead of promising a playercount and then really that playercount amount you buy means nothing cuz you can set it to whatever you want, so to them playercount is code to hide how much RAM youre buying or something and you have to talk to their support to find it out

what i wanna know is if this planner issue happens on other servers not ran by them as well, because that's the final potential cause besides facepunch, which is who most likely causes it.

I think it does. I was with Shockbyte before switching to GamerServer and while with Shockbtye I had random crashes and didn't know what was up, wasn't until I switch and GamerServer support told me, about the planner stuff.
