SAM sites shoot the ground at a 90 degree angleFixed

Sometimes when the sams target a ch47 or patrol heli they target the grund. Not sure why they do this but is anyone else having this issue?

Found another issue, the sams do not shoot mlrs rockets when using this. They try to aim ahead of the rocket even though they shouldn't. Anyone else having this issue? You should these problems if you use the plugin. But it is awesome though when it works!

Another thing, after plugin is reloaded, ch47's and patrol helis have to respawn in order to be shot.

Hi there, this is now a third person update after 2 months of OG post.

My player placed SAM turrets with this plugin and the SAM Site Authenticator, i'm experiencing the same issue as explained here.
The SAM turrets shoot way ahead of either of the helicopters, never hitting their mark, especially the patrol helicopter/attack helicopter.

The chinook has been hit but never goes down, just starts smoking a lot.

Does the developer or anyone with an idea behind the programming have a fix for this?

I ended up taking several hours rewriting most of the plugin. You can find it available for download below. I've sent Whispers a message to see if he has any feedback before updating on uMod.

The plugin is awesome, still testing it looking for the weird issue. You are amazing!

The issue where the Sam Sites shoot the ground should be fixed in that version. It was happening because the prediction logic in the plugin wasn't taking effect at all, because of a minor change in the Sam Site code in a Rust update.

Yes it seems fine, figured out the perms too. I am unsure what " "Seconds between rocket bursts": 5.0" means though lol.

Sam sites shoot 6 rockets in short succession, then take a break of 5 seconds against vehicles, or 3.5 seconds against MLRS rockets. You can change how long that break is for the 3 types of helis.

I've been testing by spawning the ch47scientists.entity prefab.

Yes it says default already has this permission, hang on, going to test and see if its a plugin conflict

It does work after I placed a new sam, but for some reason two sams that are on, are not firing.

Do those sams have an owner id? Sams without an owner id are considered as not having permission. Players shouldn't be able to place them without an owner id though. Is a plugin placing those sams?

Can you verify with some sort of entity owner plugin that those sams have an owner? I can't think of any other reason this would happen.

I've checked, all 3 sams have the same prefab and owner. I will try to replicate this though to see so you don't have to
