Here's my config and also the kits I'm using.
Kits and Guarded Crate Config
I have it set to one weapon for each of 5 kits. I'm using Assault Rifle, LR 300, MP5, SMG, and SPAS12.
Just to test try selecting your kits like this
"Kits (custom kits)": ["GuardedCrate01"],
rather than listing all kits maybe your confusing it !
Also on your easy create, you told it to use custom loot yet there is nothing listed

Thanks, I removed the custom loot to make it cleaner and easier to review. I love dynamic loot so it was a really long list.
For the kits, the guards do show them as being equipped so I guess they're working, but I'll try that nonetheless.

Have to agree, i been running Guarded Crate for over 4 months before the June Mandatory Update with no issue including the kits, botspawn, bradley guards, fancydrop where i had my aggression set to min of 100 for easy then up to 200 for the elite. Where when I got to that point they would be aggressive. Now ever since the June Mandatory update and the new update for Guarded crate, I noticed they float above the ground (but you mentioned you did that on purpose with the update so they find the navmesh), they dont drop down to ground until I or any of the players (an no they not in vanish) about 75 in direct line and somethings even less then they start to shoot. But another weird aspect is they stand very still until you get about 75meters (sometimes less) do they actually start to move around. I notice this now on all the plugins that no matter what, if you set a range outside of 75meters they are not aggressive. I even set my Harbor Event to 250meters, but even they didnt start to be agressive until i was about 75 to 80. I dont think its the plugins as per say, Facepunch has changed some default settings for the AI (npcs) where now mostly all the plugins i can find, you have no control for any setting outside of 75 or more.

I figured it out and it was my bad. I'm using https://umod.org/plugins/dont-target-me and it appears I completely forgot I gave myself the permission for NPCs to ignore me! Doh!
Needless to say the plugin works great and now they NPCs attack me just fine.
