I'm not exactly a computer guy and it's my first time getting into anything other than nexus mods really. I use logicservers to get into tcadmin and it's really nearly impossible to actually edit files inside the tcadmin file manager screen. I have to copy and paste them into a code writer app and then delete the original file and replace it with my own. I've been told that works by logicservers themselves. For a few days now I've been trying to read over how I can get this plugin and quicksmelt to work, as every time I delete the original .json file it overrides my work and plugs in the original values. I can't seem to do anything about it despite having read through both help forums. I've even shut off the server and tried to update the config files. But every time It just seems to go back to the original values and not accept mine. I've validated my .json files through several .json validators and editors and they all say it's correct as well. I'm just horribly confused. I think it's because I don't fully know what I'm doing but I'm trying my hardest to figure things out. Some help from an expert would be much appreciated.
Having trouble with configuration resetting
You would probably get more help if you specified what the actual problem was with this plugin and also posted a thread in any other plugins that you are having trouble with in their respective help sections, With this plugin you will find that the CONFIG Betterloot.json file deals with "generic" settings and your rarity settings (from 1-4) this can be changed (and saved) when the plugin is running. The Data LootTables.json file allows you to specify items and their amounts for all lootable containers, This must be edited with the plugin unloaded or the server off or changes will not be saved. The names list contains all the short and long names for the items you can use, check which ones are used in the loottable and copy that format if you are including anything additional in a loot container. when you have finished editing the loottable save it then reload the plugin

My exact problem is that I shut off the server, go to change the values in both the config files and the loot tables when it's turned off. The server isn't running what so ever when I make changes. I start with the BetterLoot config first then edit the loot tables in the data section. Everything I do, gets overridden and immediately reversed into the original values of the stock .json files the plugin comes with. I mention quicksmelt on this post as well because both these plugins I'm having the exact same issue with. I'm not too great with this server owner thing but some plugins have worked, but these two are giving me a hell of a time. There's also the problem of me not understanding exactly how to unload plugins and load them as well. I've seen some really old videos of people configuring this but it pops up a small window that isn't even inside rust which confuses the hell out of me. I'm sorry for the late reply as well, I didn't expect such a quick response.

Configs usually revert to "default" if mistakes are made in the editing, did you use a json.validator to check the files before saving them and restarting server ? I use https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ but there are others.
