Server Crash when updatingNot An Issue

GG, well played.

Server crash FATAL after updating Backpacks for a F***** icon.
No error nothing can be found.

The recent changes to the plugin cannot cause the server to crash. However, there is a known issue where updating a plugin on some operating systems can cause a server crash, regardless of which plugin.

do you have a source depending on that issue?

Not off hand. It's mentioned sometimes in various Discord servers, and I've spoken to people who say they don't update plugins on a live server because there's a high chance of the server crashing. I've always heard it described in relation to plugin watchers (i.e., the feature of Oxide that detects when a file has changed, in order to auto reload the plugin), but even if you disable that (which you should generally do as a precaution) and manually reload the plugin after changing the file, it can still crash I believe. I've heard this affects Linux servers, not sure about Windows.

No problems when live updating, just downloaded plugin , deleted plugin file from plugins folder and uploaded new version with no problems or error messages, I only usually download and install when server is down if it is a major update to a plugin where data and config files need editing, for small changes such as this there is no need. *Windows 10 install

Be sure to set PluginWatchers to false in your oxide.config.json file.  I've always runs servers on Linux so I don't know if this is an issue on Windows, but in my experience on Linux based machines this is the cause of random crashes when reloading plugins on a live server.  Once you set it to false and restart the server, that issue goes away.
