hello, can the plugin somehow affect the main bags that the corpses of players become after server.corpsedespawn?
I noticed that the corpse lay down for 5 minutes, became a bag, after 3 minutes the bag disappeared, I repeat, the bag is the main one, not additional, but I have 3600 seconds set for the additional one in the config, thank you very much
Can this plugin affect normal bag despawn time?Solved
I paid attention to the parameter - server.itemdespawn (180), mathematically I conclude that it began to affect the bags into which the corpses turned, I made server.itemdespawn 3600, I'll observe.
I don't plan on adding such capability to the plugin, but I can explain how it works in vanilla.
The despawn duration of a dropped item container is determined by the max despawn duration of all the items inside the container. The despawn duration of each item is determined by its rarity and the value of server.itemdespawn. There are five rarity levels, each with a corresponding despawn multiplier.
- None: 1x (5 min)
- Common: 1x (5 min)
- Uncommon: 4x (20 min)
- Rare: 8x (40 min)
- VeryRare: 12x (60 min)
Using the default value of server.itemdespawn of 300 seconds, the range is from 5 minutes to 60 minutes. Using the value 3600, the range is 60 minutes to 144 minutes.
There's an exception, which is that partyhat, map, torch.torch.skull, and torch are considered quick despawn items, so their despawn duration is determined by the convar server.itemdespawn_quick which is 30 seconds by default.
Overall for example, let's say a dropped backpack has ammo.pistol (Uncommon) and an explosive.timed (VeryRare), using server.itemdespawn 300, the bag would take 60 minutes to despawn. Additionally, any time a player closes the bag, its despawn duration is recalculated, so if you leave only common items, it will despawn faster, but if you leave a less common item, it'll take even longer to despawn the bag because it was interacted with. Also, if a player currently has the bag open while it's scheduled to despawn, its despawn timer will be reset to avoid interrupting the player looting it.
As of this writing, below are all of the items that are at least Uncommon rarity.

This info can also be determined using the rustlabs.com website by looking at what it says the despawn time of a given item is. For instance, if it says the despawn time is 40 minutes, then it's considered Rare, since that website assumes the default value of 300 for the server.itemspawn convar.
Players asked me a question about losing loot due to the rapid disappearance of a corpse (bag), not BackPacks! and this is the first time I have received such a question, so I did not find anything better than creating a topic here.
Thank you so much for your excellent answer as always!
