A few questions about protectionSolved

I remember playing on a server that was using this plug back when I was a noob and was very impessed with it. I'd like to create a PvE option for players on a PvP server. I think this plugin may just be the right tool to accomplish this. Can someone kindly answer a couple questions about the plugin's functionality?

1) Does a protected player lose protection if he/she attacks another player or is it only if he/she raids a structure?
2) Can players be manually set as protected for an infinite amount of time (ie: for entire wipe). If so will a manually configured player lose protection automatically if he/she raids?
3) Does the plugin allow for both manual configuartion (for PvE players) and automatic protection (for noob players) simultaneously or will the plugin only work in manual vs automatic mode?

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

1) Only raiding stops protection
2) if you manually set a player to be noob they will be a noob permanently (and wont lose it on raid attempt)
3) plugin can currently be put into manual mode (config) file but even in automatic mode you can assign people the noob status

Thank you for providing such a great plug in and actively supporting it!

I see you just updated to v1.8.4 so players with manual protection don't lose it when trying to raid someone. Would it be possible to make this an optional feature that can be toggled in the config file? An absolutely great feature of this plugin is it's ability to automatically 'police' the raid activity of protected players without the need of an on-line admin to monitor.

I think the concern for most players on a mixed play server will be the possibility for players to exploit their protected status to raid and store loot in a protected base. It would be reassuring for players to know that if a manually configured PvE player (manually set as noob) breaks the rules and raids they become fair game for raids themselves.

Thanks again for the great plugin. Your plugin is what kept me playing Rust during my early noob days when I was still learning the mechanics of the game.

I added a config option that allows you to chose whether you want to remove noob protection from players manually marked as a noob in version 1.8.5 (Remove noob status of a raider who is manually marked as a noob on raid attempt)
This is GREAT. Thank you !
