Way to limit the number of signs for each player

I am having an issue where if someone posts a ton of signs, anyone that goes near it will get DC's with RPC Packet flooding.  Their body disappears and they cannot log in again.  If there was a config to limit the number of signs for players, it would be great.

thanks - i dont necessarily want to limit the number of signs - i should have been more specific.   I want to limit the number of /sil's a player can do.  Like a configurable property.   [Max sil pictures]=10 or something like that.

why can't you use the cooldown?

"Time in seconds between download requests (0 to disable)"

and how many is a "ton"? this seems like a client/server problem if anything

Here is an example: 
A player builds a massive base, puts in 100 signs and pictures using /sil.  Players go near the base, those pictures start rendering to their client, they get a RPC Packet flooding disconnect error.  They try to login again, and immediately get kicked out again with the same error, no matter what.  We need to teleport them out of their location for them to be able to log in again. As other players go near the same building, the same situation occurs. 

I believe that same base with 100 signs hand painted (/sil or not) would do the same thing. If a guy had to wait 1 hour between /sil's would he do 100?

I believe you're greatly underestimating the average rust player. They would do 500 if they could get away with it. Even with the plugin unloaded and a server restart, it will RPC kick anyone who gets in range of that base with the signs, including an invisible admin. Only way is to ent kill the signs from far away. If the signs are inside you have to ent kill the base itself. Had it happen to me 🤣
