I hope they're getting instant bans, too.

There is only one reason to buy that specific mouse.

The mouse has built in cheats. Just google "bloody mouse" and you will understand why it's being banned.

I use two same mouses (one bloody and one from razer). And not only me, most of rust players using "Bloody" mouses. Its stupid to block people only for mouse they use. Using macros for get better recoil is retarded, but its also more useful in other things (for example i had quick-loot macros and old-guitar script)

I used only Logitech mice for over 10 years, then their quality started decreasing badly, with the buttons starting to fail or double click after only 8 or so months of moderate usage. Razers are too long for my taste (and my hands), so in 2013 ended up trying an A4Tech X7, and after I got used to its lighter weight, I started to really like it. The first one lasted over 3 years, and in 2016 I bought another two. I'm still using one of those, while the other one is still sealed in its box.
Then I wake up yesterday to find out that my mouse had been banned. I'm not going to switch to another mouse - not only because I love the X7, but also as a matter of principle. I won't accept being implicitly accused of using macros just because I own a macro-capable mouse. It's like owning a car able to hit 200 Km/h and getting fined by the police even though you haven't broken any speed limits, but just because your car could do it. Also, to me this amounts to an acknowledgement by Facepunch of Easy Anti Cheat's complete inability to detect even simple and well known macros.
So, it's been a fun two years with Rust and my server - in spite of the game's amazingly inept project management - but this is where I have to draw the line. Now I want to see if they are also going to ban gaming mice by bigger companies like Logitech and Razer, since ALL gaming mice have on-board memory where macros are loaded and from where they are executed. Here are a few of Razer's advertised advantages of their mice, for example:
"Maximize your unfair advantage with Razer Synapse 3, the unified hardware configuration tool that takes your Razer device to the next level. Get access to advanced options and granular control as you rebind buttons, assign macros, personalize device lighting and more.
(...)
Hybrid on-board and cloud storage
For personalized settings anytime, anywhere. Rebind buttons, assign macros, and automatically save all your profile configurations to the cloud. And if you’re going to use a computer without internet or Razer Synapse 3 installed, save up to 4 profiles to have on hand via the devices’ on-board storage.
(...)
Advanced macro capabilities
For extended power combos
Bring powerful macros to your favorite games with Razer Synapse 3. Easily create a string of complex button presses, and then precisely execute game-winning combinations with a single click. "

And Logitech's Gaming Software:
Each game (or application) can use a profile that is uniquely tailored to it. The profile defines what each G-key does when you press it. You can assign a special, quick-access action, such as a macro or shortcut, to each G-key. For details about how to assign a quick-access action to a G-key, see Assigning commands to G-keys/buttons.
(...)
Your gaming device contains on-board memory that enables you to store profiles on it.
Having profiles on your device enables you to take your device to other computers knowing that your profiles and the commands they contain go with you. And when you connect your device to another computer, you can transfer profiles between your device and that computer if you want to.

TL;DR: I don't even believe that most people who buy gaming mice do it for their macro capabilities, but rather for their design, ergonomics, precision, etc. Implicitly accusing everyone who owns a macro-capable mouse of cheating and blocking them from the game is as offensive as it is absurd, besides establishing a dangerous precedent where people are presumed guilty until proven innocent.

You should know that there's a big difference in a software that offers button macro and movement macro.
The whole problem with Bloody mouse and similar is that they offer movement macro which none of the other mice you mention does.
The fact is that the majority of the players buying the bloody mouse does so for its movement macro capability.
Regarding your car analogy..., I would say it's like buying a car that can go 200 Km/h (like many other cars) but this one is from the factory wrapped in a special foil that makes it invisible to police lasers and speed cameras.
I agree with you that in principle it sucks, but look at it from FP's perspective.., what are their choises ?
If they do nothing, a minority of the playerbase is gonna ruin it for everyone else.
The lesser of the evils are to exclude that minority all together, even though some inocent players will get caught in that net.
