I just loaded the plugin and it tells me I need vanish so I go over to https://umod.org/plugins/vanish#updates and I have the latest update of vanish I reload both plugins and it just keeps telling me I need vanish.

Yes, you have to enable Vanish in the config as it's set to false by default. I'll change the default values with the coming update.
