I applaud the effort of anyone knowledgeable that steps up in place of an absent plugin developer. I've tried this version, and another that's circulating on the official Rust discord. Both have the same desired effect of allowing emojis to work, but both also kill chat in rcon. I had to weigh the importance of being able to monitor chat, or let folks use emojis - and emoji use took a backseat.
Ah, if you'd like you can DM me through uMod (or discord if that's easier) and I can try and fix the console/rcon issue, I made this fix while not really being able to see console, so it was a bit harder haha I think you must mean some sort of special/specific logging BetterChat does that is configurable though, as by default my local server doesn't seem to have any rcon issues. Though when I was testing, an owner that I was doing it for sent me a console screenshot that showed all of the info IE: Channel, Message, UserId, Username, Color, and Time. I presume this is what you're referring to? If not, please correct me so I can try and fix the issue :)
