After the restart of my server this morning I realized that I couldn't spawn my minicopter anymore cause it says I never bought one.

My players are having similar issue.... not sure how to fix it. Any ideas anyone?

This is only happening to few people out there, I have tried to address it but don't know what's the root cause of it is.
I have the same issue on my Server Box (Windows Server 2019), but when I test it on my test box (Windows 10) it works just fine...
While the Rust server is running the data file is updated and everything works, but once Rust Server restarts the data file get's wiped like it never existed.

Anyone with any ideas please reach out to me. I'm out of options here....

It only seems to happen on certain Servers, like I mentioned before. Still trying to figure this out as I'm affected by it as well on my server. :(

I'm now having this issue . Only thing I've changed is adding rust rewards and server rewards and using that to purchase . I used to just have them purchase with scrap . Could it be something with all three mods in use ?

I don't have these plugins but got the same problem. So, no.

I'm working with the host now. We have some detailed logging going . If I purchase the vehicle I can see it adds the information to the vehiclelicence.json in the data folder after a server save. So next reboot we will catch some more actions and see if that file is being touched on reboot.

Ok , si far here is what worked for me ... 

I unloaded VehicleLicence after i verified it could write to the json data file

Next I deleted that Json file from the data directory .

Next I reloaded the plugin which made a brand new one , and repurchased my vehicles. I did a server save which seems to force a write to that file. 

After that i have rebooted 4 times and its now keeping that data. Maybe the orginal file it's creating is a bad format I have no idea. 

You can reboot very often sometimes without having a problem. In my experience (and I have that plugin from the beginning) it can happen between like 5-30 reboots or even more but it does happen sooner or later. Last time was around christmas on my server.
So, this would need more time to inspect.

That's the only answer I got from my server host when asking for that. :( 
"Hi there, I am not sure why it would be wiping its self sorry, some config files server needs to be stopped first so maybe try that, also I believe it could do it if it has invalid config etc, other than that not sure sorry."

Happened again and again and again...
I can't stand it anymore and the players lose their patience.
I will have to leave this plugin out. So sad.

The latest problems got fixed now.
Is there any chance this old problem can be fixed too?
The last server restart wiped the player licenses again.

Make sure your players are not buying close to server restart. Could also have your server run both server.save and server.writecfg like 5min prior to a server restart to save any last minute things.... just a suggestion?

Has nothing to do with buying shortly before a server restart.
Players and myself bought this long before that.
Also, it's not that only some players lose their license.
The whole data file gets wiped.

Always use the newest version.
The latest error was the one that got fixed the last update.
I've wiped data of course when there is wipe on my server.
I could try the same with config.
But the developer has the same problem on his server and doesnt know why.
So I guess it's not that.
I appreciate you giving suggestions but I guess I wont use this plugin for longer.
Players dont like it when their licences are gone which they paid scrap for. :)
