This means you are not using the latest version of the plugin.

the addon was updated 5 days ago, the last rust update was yesterday

i blieve i was using v1.1.1

The latest version of the plugin (v1.1.1 from 5 days ago) does not make any reference to RelationshipManager.Instance (because it has been replaced with RelationshipManager.ServerInstance), therefore you are using an older version of the plugin.

It should, but the website sometimes has bugs that go unnoticed for periods of time. I tried clicking the download button now and did receive the latest version. Are you seeing it download an older version? If so, we should alert site staff.
