I have set up zones with Zone Manager and I've edited the TruePVE.json as shown below. The zone works but players can't hurt each other. What am I doing wrong? Here's the config:

Ok, once I've done that, what happens? Do I need to be in the zone when I run it?

Ok, so I did that command in the console. I never got anything like the example on the "Debug" section of the True PVE plugin page. No "STARTING TRACE" with all that information. All I got was a whole bunch of "[Info] [TruePVE] Found zone : 41557018" messages with the zone ID's of the two zones I have set up.

there's too much data here. you need to use the tpve.trace command from the game console and not the server console. it should also be toggled off once you are done, which should be within a few seconds of toggling it on. the two traces for players that I see here say nothing about your zone, either. are you sure the zone is enabled and has the right size / radius set?

Do I have to do anything other than turn it on, then off? Do I need to be in the zone? Do I need to attack another player?

I am 100% positive the zone is enabled. I determined this with two tests: I spawned in a wolf and it was removed from the zone, and I use ZoneTimeManager and when I enter the zone, it switches to the time I set, as determined by the sky getting brighter for example, when it's night on the server.

hope that helps it alloweed me to have TRUE PVE where players could not be killed out side the dome but inside for a arena were able to kill or be killed

no idea. first trace shows one is in the zone and the other player isn't, so it defaults and blocks the damage. the second shows both of you are in the zone so it uses killall ruleset and allows it.

Is the top of my TruePVE.json supposed to look like this:
