Is there any way to prevent splash damage from F1 & bean cans or C4?

splsh damage by beancans/ C4 onto foundations and other building items.
if the C4 sticks or the bean can is hard against the object then there is zero or minimal damage 1-2 health.. , but usually zero.
but if there is a small distance then there is larger damage, so clearly it is some sort of splash...
direct attacks with weapons meelee or guns etc produce zero damage

just tested this repeatedly by shooting rockets, using c4, sticking beancans, throwing beancans on and near clumbs of deployed items on top of foundations and nothing took damage in some 40 tests. not sure how you're reproducing this

im not seeing anything that would allow npcs using beancans to do damage. i guess you'll just have to lure one to a base and find out for yourself
