Thanks for the compliment! Glad you like the plugin so far. Unfortunately, the plugin does not have a configuration option to disable announcements but I am glad you found a workaround at least. Since I no longer have access to a test server, I am not actively developing this plugin to add such a feature for now. I will add it as an issue for tracking in case I come back to it though, thanks!
