After thinking about it, I decided  to make a new plugin to handle that, with some other configurable options & more-or-less related functions as well.

Made a development/test -version already, and will work on it more when I have time. But it's coming and I think you'll like it!

Update #2/3:  Next update to this thread will hopefully be of the [solved] kind!

Currently the new plugin is in development version 0.7.7, and I got a few volunteers to test it out during the coming days.

If all works as it should (for now), I'll decide it's version 0.8.0 (my personal "ready to be published" -level of readiness), and push it for upload/release during the weekend.
(And then post [solved] here with a link to the new plugin.)
