DISREGARD, I couldnt delete this post. I was suffering from  'Multiple files open in notepad+++ disorder" all good.

Ok, I deleted my old plugin, and the config file.
Then I loaded the plugin so that it would create the config and data file.
Then i unloaded the plugin, edited the config file to put numbers in for defaults based upon the categories.
Loaded the plugin back up, then went to the data file to see if the numbers i put in PER CATEGORY in the config transferred over to the data file.
It doesnt look like they did.  So, is the defaults per category in the config ONLY for new items added, and I need to manually fix the data file to my liking?
Or am I missing a step ? thanks!
