Why wouldn't you be able to? It clearly states on the documentation that it supports custom items.

just by adding them to the config file, it makes an error in the console

? You are not supposed to add anything to the config file...

It's all automated. 

Actually I use the plugin cooking, where all the ingredients are skinny on the apple
and the apple being about 20, I would like to put a different amount per ingredient

Then simply change the Stack Size of whatever the Real Item is instead.

For example, if it's using skinned scrap you change the stack size of the actual item called scrap. etc

too bad we can’t put a different stack on an item with different skin.
