Server won't restart after shutdownNot An Issue
Anyone else having issues with Restart feature? Our server restart is initiated at 12midnight and noon. However after it start the restart process if never comes back online. It stops the server but doesn't restart it.

Use to work fine with no issues. This happened after this last update. Appreciate any direction on the issue. I removed the plugin and am performing the restarts manually.
Plugins cannot start the server, you'd have to have something external that actually starts it.
Can you give examples for what that could be and where to find a software for that maybe?
My host has the ability to set an automatic restart in the webconsole. But this isn't possible to connect with the plugin.
I used this plugin for over 6 months and it always worked perfectly. Shutdown the server then restarted it. Ever since the last update that is not the case, it shuts down but never restarts it. How do I fix this or is this plugin dead now
As mentioned above, a plugin like this cannot start the server, only shut it down. You can see example scripts at https://github.com/theumod/uMod.Rust/tree/oxide/resources that restarts the server when it detects it no longer running.
I asked my server host (ZAP-Hosting) how I can manage to get this plugin work with my server.
They said that the server restart function of their web console does not support that.
So, any ideas to that?
Would be great if someone could help with this and has an idea how to make this work or
if I really have to change the server host for that.

All this plugin does is shutdown your server, your host would have to provide a way to monitor the process and restart the server after shutdown.
Ok. So, it's a question of the which host I use for my server.
Maybe someone could tell me a host they use where this plugin does work.
I don't know if that would be ok cause it would be promotion.
But I have no idea how to find out which host supports this.

Apprecaite the information Wulf. Very weird the pluging smooth restart for months always worked so smooth (haha like how I did that). And would shutdown the server at the specified times and restart within 60 seconds back up. Was only after the last update that it no longer restarts.

I'm going to reach out to our host (GameServerKings) and see what options they have for RUST going into a stopped state. Again apprecaite the response my dude.

Please let me know if it works again. Maybe I'll come to your host then. ;)

Contacted my host and they said the following;

Dear Rustville USA,

We do have something like that, but it is not entirely reliable so we do not make use of it.

I went ahead and enabled it for you.

Most auto restarters rely on a constantly operating commandline, often in a loop, Our managing software does not allow for us to approach the problem in the way that most auto restarters suggest for single servers.

We're working on our own custom solution for this, but it is in development, If you would like I'll put you down on the list to try it when it is available?

Kind regards,

Christopher
