Rust Restart Command vs. Web Host Restart Commands...

I'm running in to an issue with my serverauto.cfg file being altered when the server is restart. 

Specifically...

  • 1.  If I run the Rust's RESTART command the serverauto.cfg file IS altered.
  • 2.  If I run the restart links/buttons on gPortal's webiste the serverauto.cfg file IS NOT altered.

Assuming your mod is essentially issueing the same console command, as if I typed it in myself, then the issue has to be with the game itself doing something to the file that the website's processes are not (or they are taking measures to ensure this file is not altered).

Not saying ther eis a bug ... just asking is you have any ideas as to why this could be happening.

Addendum...

Not sure if this is covered in the docs or not but (because of the above problem post) if I revert back to using the web host's automated/times restart process, will Smooth Restarter automatically detect a restart has been called and display the countdown UI for it?
