Restarting at random timeSolved

Hello,

I have used this mod for a while now and never had an issue. I didn't change the config file and it is now retsarting at 7:30pm my time. I have the config file set for 10 am. But it isn't restarting at that time anymore. Here is my config setting:

{
"Daily restarts": [
"10:00"

I've been having a similar issue. This was occuring with the version of Smooth Restart before the current version, however. I wasn't too bothered by it, and just let it be.

Now today I've updated to the newest version and suddenly it's restarting 2-3 times randomly in the middle of the day, not even close to the times I have selected. I've disabled the mod entirely for now as it seems to be completely broken.

Same, I removed it and will just manually restart it daily until this mod is updated. There was a rust and steam update today. I assume this is what caused it for me today.

Yeah, I bet you're right. While I was having the issue before of the timing being off, it was still restarting fine even if it was at a "random" time. But now it's just all over the place. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, it made operating a server so much easier.

Agreed bro, Now we have to manually restart it every day :(

I updated my server and oxide again after some update/patch issues from Facepunch and Steam. Everything has been working smoothly so far, EXCEPT Smooth Restarter. It still isn't restarting at the proper time listed in the config settings.

The physical server location is in CST, but the server "profile" is set to EST, which at the time of this post is 1:00am & 2:00am.
Smooth Restarter is set for 4:02am, now whether that goes off the CST or EST I don't know.
Regardless though, it just now tried restarting at 1:00am CST / 2:00am EST instead of 4:02am.

"Restart when new Oxide.Rust is out": true,
set this to false it should stop it

This seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you kind person.

I was scratching my head for two days trying to figure out how is this even possible, since nothing in the code could cause restarts at random time xD

Yes, Oxide was updated several times since last Rust update because it caused few issues. Happy to hear the problem is resolved.

Yeah dude me too. Glad it wasn't a serious issue.

hi was this fixed? was posted 1 week ago but the last update is a month ago. i tried the workaround here but the plugin restarts the server continuosly so i had to disable

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the plugin. If you have an option to restart on oxide updates enabled, then your server will be restarted when an update for Oxide comes out, and these are not "random restarts". Plugin also does send messages about the reason of the restart, so you should pay more attention to logs before posting.
