Recommended host for Rust servers?
My server is not that busy yet and I use streamline servers. They dont overload their shared hosting and you can choose how much ram you want.
I have been happy with them.
I do wanna try out a vds though and have been looking at NFO Servers. Have heard good things about them.
This little hosting company has came a long long way since they first began.
Only costs $4 first month for 50 slots , no one can touch that.
They dont try to sell you memory upgrades or any of that, they give you game max on all packages!!!!
Ive been with them for months and the sevrers run 24/7 with 20+ players on at a time so far no lag no problems
I run force wipe to force wipe with 0 issues.
(I do have a secret rust cleaner i made that keeps my entity count down though which pro longs our wipe times)
All in all , cant beat their pricing, can beat the ammount of memory they give by Default and the have a long history.
Full ftp access, rcon access, file manager, free domain hosting if you want that etc.
http://scalacube.com/p/56001 <-- yup thats my affiliate link anyone uses it will save me money, but ive signed up 4 other rust servers owners so far, i built their servers and we all rocking no problems.
I dont work for them, im just a rust server owner like you.
In response to SlyStone ():Not going to find a host that will give you maximum memory/ram for 1 set price like scalacube.
...
For me scalacube went down for 4 days back in November and all I got was an auto generated message from a "John Smith" Yes that bloke lol
With no explanation as to why it was down or when it would be back up and I had to wait ,..and wait ,..yup 4 days with no server or sorry.
I canceled that wipe and moved over and I can honestly say I have not had an issue since with GTX
Yes they cost more but they are worth it believe me , Thats not to mention the interface and mod support alone
Its way more advanced and user friendly , Good luck anyway , Maybe they have improved since Nov 18.
Highly recommended

Thanks for the kind words.
@miesku: What values are you comparing; true network latency, or the game server's displayed ping value while connected to the server? My understanding is that the latter value is the trip time between your client and the server, but I could be wrong. A dedicated machine or VPS may be your best bet depending on your average concurrent connections (150-200+). Remember that ping is going to vary with significance from player to player. I can't imagine someone not joining a server because its ping is 4-5ms higher than others. I'd be more concerned about the gameplay performance of the server than anything.
There are literally dozens of hosts out there, and all of them are pretty much offering same stuff. I wont say that gameservers.com or as slystone suggested scalacube are bad.
I will give you my suggestion on my personal experience as a very new player in Rust and hosting in general. Few days ago i started with https://rustserverhosting.net/ and i couldnt ask for nothing more or less at least at this point.
