I've been with Tempest Hosting for a long time now. But lately, I've been experiencing some bad Rubber Banding on my server. Also, typically when I have an issue they seem to not really want to do anything about it and close tickets when an issue is still present. I feel I got better customer service before. I have shared hosting with them but I am open to ideas. Any better hosting company/options out there?
Best Rust Hosting?
I have been with Streamline for about 6+ years now (after a disasterous 18 months with Multiplay) and find the response time and help very good,
It depends on your budget, you mostly get what you pay for. If you can afford a dedicated server that's the best option. One thing I would say is avoid those types of hosts that sell by the number of "slots".
DDoS protection is a very important factor, when the time comes that you're under attack (and it will happen eventually) it's great to have peace of mind that your host can handle it. I've been under heavy attack, tried various hosts at the time and discovered that all DDoS protection is not the same! The only host that was able to properly handle it was OVH. It's not the cheapest but I highly recommend them - Facepunch uses them for the official servers.

do you mind sharing the link i can find a lot of OVH hosting sites
OVH Game Server Packages
I have Game-1 it's on sale right now, excellent value imo. You could comfortably run 2 servers on that, so if you can find another server owner to share with you then you'll have the best hosting at a very low cost. Again, I can't stress enough how good their DDoS protection is, it slams in instantly with zero interference, players don't even notice it. This can't be said for other hosts.
If you are tempted to go for one of their Xeon cpu packages, don't. Xeon is not suitable for game servers.

No data centre location in Australia so i wont be tempted, had enough problems with Multiplay and overseas billing costs
pookins
No data centre location in Australia
Yes they do:
Aussie Options
I am going on the information on this page which does not list any data centre in Australia
https://www.ovhcloud.com/en-au/bare-metal/rise/rise-game-2/
I will check out ovhcloud this weekend $81.41$137.99 Seems like a good deal, would this price server that is on sale handle 100 players?
only issue i've heard with OVH is that they are easy to down with a ddos attack
@pookins The Game-1 and Game-2 packages do have Aus locations, the Rise doesn't for some reason. Weird.
@Jayinwww They are pretty good CPUs so I'm sure they can handle 100.
@Kerka I strongly disagree. I don't know where you "heard" your info but I've seen with my own eyes a very heavy attack defeated by OVH, which other hosts failed at.
