Second opinion?

After numerous attempts, I am unable to replicate this error but basically when the server below wiped, shortly after spawning in, and moving a little bit, I got banned for the following reason:

So I tried rejoining and it said this:

In my appeal, the admin initially said "The Steam account that you had provided us does not have any active bans on our servers."

Then followed by:

"That ban is not applied by us and is a temporary ban by Rust itself anti-cheat. For most of these cases, it's caused by an error. By the looks of it, you were able to rejoin."

An then lastly followed by:

"The ban is generally a temporary ban for 24 hours. It's also specific to that server, but it's not something we can remove as it's a ban from the Anticheat."

I just want to know if any other people have experiened this before? I've been playing Rust for almost 4 years this is the first time I am seeing this.

Furthermore, I can join their other Rustafied servers and also other official servers as normal - I just want to know if this false ban will be actually be removed in 24 hours as the admin stated or will an manual intervention be required?

Thanks and have a good day!

He is correct that this is an auto ban triggered directly by rustserver and only applies to that particular server (it's not an EAC ban), but it's not true that it's a 24h ban, it's added to the ban file and is permanent unless they unban you. Their policy may be to unban after 24h but it would be a manual unban.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for clarying the ban needs to be removed manually. I will forward this information to them in the hopes of finally getting unbanned!
