I reached out to facepunch and they said I'm not blacklisted. I went to school for servers and networking. I'm certain all the appropriate ports are open. The game is updated and I can connect with no problems manually. Any ideas? I've search everywhere and facepunch wasn't helpful..

The query port is separate from the game port, so if you have a firewall, port forwarding or whatnot then it can interfere. If you don't set server.queryport then it's set automatically, I think it's game port +1 or something like that, but anyway you might want to set a specific server.queryport to make sure.

If that doesn't work then you could try searching these forums for suggestions because this has been discussed a bazillion times here. TL;DR there is no definitive solution.
