I'm banging my head...

I'm running a dedicated Rust server on my pc and playing Rust.
I can't seem to get a working Oxide install.

I have the lastest server package, and the latest Oxide package.
I've copied the files over the existing files.

oxide.version is not recognized at all.

No directories have been created.

Thanks!

Tried to search a bit and found few threads. Make sure server is not being updated each start or running steamCMD.

= check startup parameters

Thanks.  I'll give that a try.

A common source of confusion is that the first time you install Oxide you have to start the server in order to create the oxide directory for the plugins.

Assumed that he did that, since he said he typed oxide.version in console. 😁

Alright, I've restarted my computer.

Copied the files.

Started the server and the game.  Exited both.  Still no directories created.

SteamCMD is not being run, no updates being done.

"SteamCMD is not being run" - perhaps you could supply some info about how you are updating/starting your rustserver then?
