when i go into the cfg file and do "ownerid 76561############ "hypnotoad" and then save the file, it saves then as soon as i restart the server the file just becomes empty again.

Try running "ownerid 76561############ "hypnotoad" in RCON and restart.

i just keep getting "could not connect to server" 🤔

You need to run it in RCON, not F1 console.

im on rcon

Then the "could not connect to server" error is an issue with your connection.

You need to resolve your RCON connection issue first.

im useing opera gx and going to "http://rcon.io/login"

but it wont let me login

i tried doing the "ownerid" in the users.cfg file. but when i save the file and reload it it just clears.

You'll have to troubleshoot the RCON issues on you own. Can't really help out with that. Google is your friend.
Just make sure you're using the correct IP, password, and ports.

As for the users.cfg, you can always try adding it with your server shut down. Then sytart the server and see if that works.

Doesn't bisect hosting have it's control panel? There should be console and put the ownerID.... in there
