Any idea why my server stopped blanking swear words?
I mean this is a Rust function right?

But didn't Facepunch bring this filtering with one of their updates?
I even got rid of Better Chat Filter because of that and I think it worked for everybody.
Is this linked to these STEAM settings or shouldn't Rust have an autotarkic system for that now?
Otherwise I would wonder why I might have this option enabled in STEAM and why it suddenly was disabled.
It is disabled atm btw. Checked that.

Thing is, I was happy about it being implemented by Facepunch to have this filtering for all players, if they want it or not.

The chat filtering wasn't implemented directly into Rust, they just linked the game up to the Steam chat filtering system. It's on by default, you have to manually disable it.

Seems a bit harsh to force censorship on people who don't want it.

Well, not in my opinion. I mean that's what the Better Chat Filter plugin does. Filtering swear words for all players and it's up to the server owner what he wants on his/her server.
Thank you for letting me know that it's still a personal choice via STEAM.
I will run Better Chat Filter again now.
