sorry for my grammar, it's a translation
when a plugin causes lag, what can i do?
remove it, i don't want it to be a fun event plugin
my host is on gtx and its the basic starter pack
Should I upgrade my hard drive from ssd to nve?
the server reports an average of 7.5 of 64gb of ram usage
I have more than 200 plugins but there are not many people we only play some friends and some other internet player
Host Resource Usage Report
Players 4% (2/50)
CPU 15.21%
RAM 12% (7.88GB)
An spike lag when the plugin start the event
I don't know if I should increase the ram, the cpu or update to a new one
I don't know how a plugin works but I think the lag occurs when it has to read and write a lot of data but I don't know if it does it in the ram or in the hard disk
my package includes 8 gbram but i have seen that the server reached 9.5 gb ram usage, i asked the host about this and he told me that they don't limit the ram usage but they don't abuse.
I would like some programmer to confirm if when a plugin is badly done it simply cannot be solved with server resources, I don't want to waste my money on resources.
Appreciate your help, take me out of the darkSolved
Do you have 8gb ram or 64gb of ram for your server as you state both amounts in your post ?, I assume you have 64gb which should be enough to mitigate the large amount of plugins, I (at present) only have 16gb and am using 95 plugins ,
I restart the server once a day and dont have problems with lag as yet.
The other things that can cause lag is your own PC performance/ram and the quality of internet connection to the server host,
I have had problems in the past as even though the server host and i are both in Sydney the internet provider re-routes the signal outside the country as far away as Monbai/Calcutta/Singapore (?) ,
Make sure you dont have more than one plugin trying to do the same task
Sounds like more of a plugin issue, I would doubt that the problem can be solved by just throwing more hardware at it. Instead the plugin should be optimised first before you start thinking about upgrading your server.

can you change the status to solved :)
Honestly GTX is a great starter host but they arnt really a "strong" host. I use them as a test server but what seems to lag on GTX/test server dosent lag on my live server (diffrent host).
I would start by checking your server FPS when an event starts... is it dropping below 30? Is there multiple events starting at once hitting the server hard or are they spaced out? If you are running Raidable Bases, how many/how big of bases are spawning? With 200 addons I honestly wouldnt be suprised if multiple addons are modifiying the same items as well which also could cause issues.
