Good day

I recently got my own server and made it PVE but noticed that trying to shoot a scientist ends with me dead and a console entry of me being killed by generic, same happened to my friend when he tried to shoot me, so I figure somehow the scientists are being protected by the PVE system

Am I completely wrong or is there a way to remove that protection from them while keeping PVE on? 

I'm also looking to make monument pvp zones, what plugin would be good for this? 

Take your server out of PVE mode and use addons like NextGenPVE or TruePVE to make your server PVE. You will also need Zone Manager to make the areas PVP
