Decay Scale 2 or higher?

Does Rust support a Decay Scale of 2 or even higher?
I am thinking about letting abandoned buildings decay faster for better server performance.

Can you tell me how fast stuff decays with your setting and if the players accept this?

i do have warnings in welcome message and in infopanel messages regarding decay, i advise that metal and hq bases will not decay if protected by TC..
its either that or a map full of twig and wood partially built bases,

Yeah. I mean it's the player's fault if they don't manage to fill the upkeep needs.
But what might be sad is that when a player gets raided and not griefed, he might not be able to take back his base again.
But one can't have it all I know.
Did you notice a good impact on the server performance doing this?
I get reports about frame drops.

Players noticed setting the decay scale to 2 doubles the upkeep.
That's bad.
Especially because the upkeep shown in the tc isn't correct anymore.

You can correct the TC display using the UpkeepDisplayFix plugin. Upkeep and decay rates are essentially two sides of the same coin, you can't change one without affecting the other unfortunately.

I thought the decay scale would only kick in when a base begins to decay after the resources are gone.
I wanted to speed up that progress. I didn't want it harder for players to keep their bases if they farm for it and keep it up.
Do you know any plugin that does that?

No there isn't one, I had the same problem. You have to think of upkeep as an extension of decay - your TC resources "decay" and then when they run out it starts eating the base, it's all one process, can't be split into separate actions.

You can toggle upkeep off completely but you can't have a different rate from the decay.
