Problems running the server on my PC
I understand that such a topic has already existed, but I did not find an answer, in general, I prescribed the ports in the router, wrote there the internal IP address of the PC, also prescribed the ports in the Firewall, the server is still not visible in the search, connects through the connect command, to some server called Amsterdam 2, please help.

Hey, please use English for posts on uMod. If it connects via F1 to your public IP then it should be fine, AFAIK you do NOT see local servers in server browser. Also, Amsterdam 2 is always shown when you connect via F1 last time I've checked so this is nothing to worry about.

I know that there have been previous posts but this seems to be the most recent. I have ran into many oxide servers that when connected through f1, the session info will load correctly and not default to the Amsterdam II etc. Although connected through rust search list loads correctly, I can't seem to figure out why this is. I have gone through various trials with the batch file, have tried everything with the firewall and serverauto.cfg, but still cant figure out how others got around this. Clearly, there is something preventing the client from receiving or properly requesting this information. Any advice on what may be the cause of this, or the file responsible for this information would be greatly appreciated.

Connecting via F1 will not load the correct info for a local server, that info is shown when the server is listed in the server list and connected via that.

Please name a few of them, I would like to ask the owners how they achieved this. I am doubtful that what you say is correct though.

Just a thought..........
You did set you computer to STATIC IP right?
and then bond your firewall to STATIC addresses?

also note, on some routers /firewalls  , it will NOT allow loop back conenctions, whre you go out & in the same ip address.

That is to say you have a pc mapped to external ports, then you try to access the external address from the pc that you mapped to external ports.

That's good info to know when diagnosing this, the issue was brought up by an external user.

Simply go on rust-servers and try the most popular ones that have been listed under oxide. Unless they all have lied about it which I highly doubt since many of their plugins are identical to the oxide ones.

It is static, but what you are saying makes complete sense. I will look more into the loopback connections, maybe I missed a setting that is causing the issue keeping that portion in private mode rather than public.

Thanks for the info everyone :)
