i already had this same issue years ago and now i prepare a rust server again.

After updating today and putting the newest RustDedicated_Data, it doesn't load the server with Oxide.

I also took a new serverID (completely new map etc..) still doesn't load - So i though i'm asking, since i had this issues very often in the past. Whats the cause for this?

Oxide is either installed or it isn't, there isn't a way for it to not load if not installed. Please check that it is installed.

How exactly do i check if its installed? When i prepared the server days ago, i just replaced the RustDedicated_Data and it directly worked. I did now the same after the update.

You can use the oxide.version command.

Thanks for your help, but of course oxide.version doesn't work because oxide didn't load what was my problem.

But i think i figured out what i did wrong - it seems like that you have to update the rust server first and then replace the new RustDedicated_Data.

If you replace the RustDedicated_Data first and then update the rust server, i'm getting that mentioned problems. But now i know it.

Oxide would need to be installed after any updates, yes.
