Anyone have some suggestions on some good ones? One that works and isn't broken or something. I don't know of many places that seem to carry plugins. So, I'm kinda stumped. It has to be an 8 man thing.

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but you can set the max number of players per team UI with the following console command:

Group Limit that JimDeadLock said is a great one. There is also one plugin Forever Alone

and you can try it too. Also this one Cupboard Limiter

is a great addon to prevent more than X to authorize on the TC. People will abuse everything you add and find workarounds but still is useful than nothing.
Now, let's move to the paid plugins but I am not able to link anything here so if you want info PM me. Clans Reborn - check this one it's a great plugin. Do you wonder what can clans plugin do to help with the group limit? This extended version of uMod Clans is better and you can force people to create clans in order to create Rust Team. Yeah old good times with JumpCheck are still workaround but I remember when played on Official and there's no group limit but still vanilla setting for team size is 8 so we had to switch people in the team when we go to roam/pvp and it was annoying when you can't see the teammates with green name above head on your screen so this will for sure force players to be in Clan cuz everyone want's team if play with others. Then easily you can check who's playing with who when see the Clan tags...
Also Proximity System or Scanner... idk the name but its again paid plugin to do checks and kick/warn/ban if more than X people are near trying to team but I do not like it... For friendly server where noobs help each other or idk... Can cause false mess sometimes
