After Last update I am getting an error that states "Can't Place:Not Enough Space"     each time you try to place any sign/picture frame.   So annoying.   Any ideas ?  I tried unloading signartist but no avail

This plugin doesn't have anything to do with the sign placement, it merely adds custom images to existing signs.

that is what I thought but you know the usual response is "it's a plugin issue" 

Best way to test would be to remove all plugins, and also test on a vanilla setup.
