Crazy high amount of entities
Hi - I have a dedicated server.  Big beats with 12 cores, 64 GB ram and raided 500GB SSD drives.

I noticed thaty my Ents just keep going up and up and have exceeded 550,000.  I have entityReducer onand it seems like everything is restricted to required limits.

I have no idea why they just keep climbing on dont every just level out.  I would have thought that the ents decaying or remioving themselves would balance out the stuff coming in.  I have even added a plugin to stop the spwan of things like food and cloth plants.

Has anyone faces this high ents issue and aknow how to solve it?

Thanks,
Patrick
There was a thread about this same problem in the last few weeks.  Something about items being removed improperly and leaving behind orphaned HeldEntities.  Could be that.
I am wondering if all teh small stones and clutter that is on the map could be making up these entities, because it is not trees and ore, etc, as I am controlling these levels, but cannot control the levels of the stones and other clutter.
Usually it's because of a loot plugin or anything that can ever create items. Download object remover and run objtop 50 to see top-50 entities (sorted by their amount)
Hi,

Thanks for coming back to me.  After reading the post reminder Zugzwang dropped I managed to figure it out.

I use the plugin AntiItems.  I has this reset every 1 second.  I thought this would simply reset the object quanitites in the loadout, but it seems that it does more than this.  Since changing the refresh time in the config file, ent growth stopped and has actually begun to reduce.

Thanks for the support.

I ran this an noticed that there are over 501,000 of generic_deply items.  Do you know what these are and can they be removed?

Oh my .. idk try to remove them all and restart your server. Use it like `object shortname action remove` IIRC.
