Yesterday night, one of my servers randomly froze like.. literally. no logs, no UAC logs, no error, nothing. like it just stopped working. However, the funny thing is that the server was still online and i was able to connect with rcon.
After 15H of researching what the cause could be, I ended up with nothing. my hosting partner that takes care of my game servers is also for a complete riddle and haven't seen this kind of issue.
When the server died, there was 1 player online. This player it's steam account is limited and only has 1 friend. no game bought so high chance of fam share. if allowed by the staff of umod, I'm willing to share this account information to prevent this and alert other server owners.
Now, I'm not sure but is there anything known from the past of whatsoever like hacks or game abuse options like backdoors or anything else related to this? Google may be my best friend, but even he has a hard time finding a proper solution or cause of this issue.
