Default group has permissions not granted

I have installed some plugins, given the necessary permissions for everyone to use said plugins. But a few months later, when i ran oxide.show perms default it gave me this list. Most of the plugin permissions should not be there under the default group, like backpacks.admin, converstatus.use, grouplimits.notify and betterchat.admin

as those should only be specific to admin, can anyone please advise if this is ok?

only thing to do is spend a bit of time going through the list and use /oxide.revoke group default

for exampe oxide.revoke group plugin perms:
Group 'default' does not have permission 'stacksizecontroller.canchangestacksize'
Group 'default' does not have permission 'backpacks.use'
Group 'default' does not have permission 'betterchat.admin'

could it be that because 1 player in the default group has permissions, it shows up that default has access? when default infact does not have?
Must be! i am pretty sure if i remove that 1 player from group default, and only have him in admin group, this list will look different.

but not willing to try that, as i do not know how badly the game will break for that 1 user if he is removed from default, he is part of the admin group though, and can switch between admin and default.

I am surprised that they dont have  "Group  'default' does not have permission 'backpacks.use'" as they cant use backpacks without it ?

i think its not enabled for everyone, just one player atm
and that player is in group default as well as another groups

The commands and permissions system hasn't changed in over a year, so it'd be odd for it to be an issue for a single user now. If the group is showing it has the permissions though, it has them through some means. To me it sounds like you have the default group parenting another group such as admin (got your parent command reversed?), as the group itself wouldn't have those permissions.

Not sure about the patenting command will have to look it up and check it out
But if default is parenting admins, should they have access to the admin commands without explicitly allowing a specific command

I cannot recall that i ever fiddled with the parenting command or default / admin groups

But will have to "investigate" some more

Try the command: oxide.group parent default ""

After that: oxide.show group default
